US -American monetary regulatory authority says that e -mail -Hack has found delicate financial institution particulars

The Currency's office's office said on Tuesday that a hack of his e -mail systems in February as a “great incident” and revealed “highly sensitive information”.

The initially opened and dissolved violation in February in connection with the “financial condition of the financial institutions regulated in the areas of federal regulation, which are used in its exams and supervisory processes”.

The OCC, an agency that regulates and monitored national banks, said that it invented the incident on February 11th and switched off administrative accounts the next day. The regulatory authority said that it uses external cyber security experts for a complete review of the incident and starts checking the IT security guidelines to prevent further attacks.

“I took immediate steps to determine the full extent of the violation and to remedy the long -held organizational and structural deficiencies that contributed to this incident,” said the incumbent compatroller of the Rodney Hood currency.

“There will be a complete responsibility for the identified weaknesses and all missed internal insights that have led to an unauthorized access,” he added.

From June 2023 to the beginning of this year, Hacker had access to more than 150,000 e -mails, Bloomberg previously reported, citing people with knowledge of the matter.
