Helicopter accidents within the Hudson River earlier than Manhattan and kill all 6 on board

A helicopter fell into the Hudson River on Thursday before Manhattan and killed all six people on board, said Eric Adams, Mayor of New York City.

It was the deadliest helicopter accident in the New York region for years. The cause of the crash is examined, officials said. The helicopter was operated by “New York helicopter”, Jessica Tisch Jessica Table said a press conference on Thursday afternoon.

The New York helicopter helicopter -Hubraubauer -Hubraubauer did not immediately answer the request for comments. The company offers sightseeing tours and, according to its website, had planned one for 3 p.m.

Some of the victims were a family from Spain, officials said. Three adults, including the pilot and three children, were on board the helicopter. Four of the people were declared dead at the crime scene and two more died after they were removed from the scene.

The video of a witness showed a helicopter that fell to the river. Others published on social media showed a helicopter on the head in the Hudson River. An eyewitness said NBC New York that she had lost the helicopter a propeller and that the aircraft's nose showed down.

According to Flighttadar24, the helicopter was a Bell 206l-4 long-granger.

The flight path showed that the helicopter started from a helicopter land on the southeastern tip of Manhattan, then flew up the Hudson River, up to a height of about 1,100 feet and turned near George Washington Bridge, with the last contact of Hoboken, New Jersey, about 15 minutes after the Tayoff, FLIGHRADAR24 data.

The National Transportation Safety Board said that it would examine the crash and still collect information. The Federal Aviation Administration did not comment immediately.

Over the years there have been several helicopter crashes in Manhattan. In March 2018, a helicopter set for a photo shoot in the East River fell and killed five people on board, although the pilot survived.

In June 2019, a helicopter that flew in heavy fog fell into an office building in Manhattan and killed the pilot.
