Vice President JD Vance said on Sunday that the United States were not war with the Iran, but with the “Iranian nuclear program”, hours after the United States' nightly blows on three of the country's nuclear weapons.
The statements of Vances come shortly after Defense Minister Pete Hegseth said that Iran's “nuclear ambitions were wiped out” after the Trump government's facilities were carried out on institutions in Fordo, Natanz and ISFAhan.
Vance, who spoke about NBC News' “Meet the Press”, said that the United States was “not in the war with Iran”.
“We are in the war with the nuclear program of Iran,” he continued.
When asked by Kristen Welker from NBC News, how the USA would react to retaliation measures by Iran, Vance confirmed: “We don't want war with Iran, we actually want peace, but we want peace in connection with them that they have no nuclear weapons program, and that is exactly what the President achieved last night.”
The Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Sunday that Iran reserves all opportunities to defend itself according to the US attacks.

The Vice President did not say whether the three nuclear sites hit the United States have remaining capacities.
“I will not go into sensitive intelligence about what we saw on the ground there in Iran, but we saw a lot, and I am very confident that we have essentially delayed their development of a nuclear weapon, and that was the goal of this attack,” said Vance.
