Diamond Sports has reached an agreement Amazon's Prime Video enables its 16 regional sports channels to be made available on the streaming platform.

Under the agreement, Diamond's networks will be available as an add-on subscription to Prime customers living in each team's respective geographic area. Further details, such as pricing, will be announced at a later date. Financial details of the multi-year agreement were not disclosed.

The agreement is non-exclusive, meaning Diamond can continue to enter into streaming rights deals with other partners, according to a person familiar with the matter. The company's previously launched FanDuel Sports Network streaming options will remain available.

This is the latest development for Diamond Sports as the company looks to exit bankruptcy protection with a revised business model.

In October, Diamond signed a naming rights deal with him FlutterThe FanDuel-owned company rebranded its networks from Bally Sports to FanDuel Sports Network. The name change occurred immediately during the National Hockey League season and before the start of the 2024–25 National Basketball Association season.

Earlier this week, Diamond also announced that starting December 5, it would offer games a la carte for $6.99 per game, which does not require a subscription. Both Prime Video and the FanDuel Sports Network app will offer the individual games, according to the person familiar with the offering.

On Thursday, Diamond will seek court approval for its restructuring plan, which has drawn criticism from Major League Baseball and the Atlanta Braves, who question the company's future viability under the plan.

Both the league and the Braves had asked for further clarity on what the then-unfinished partnership with Amazon would mean.

Diamond filed for bankruptcy protection last year but failed due to a heavy debt load and the impact of cord-cutting on its networks as consumers opted out of cable TV packages for streaming services.

Diamond also has deals with the NBA and NHL for TV and streaming rights for their teams. It has negotiated with MLB teams on an individual basis.

Several regional sports networks, including the New York Yankees' YES Network, have introduced streaming options in recent years. Amazon's Prime Video already airs a selection of Yankees games each season because of its ownership in the YES Network.

Prices are at the higher end of the scale as broadcasters have been cautious about pricing their streaming options so as not to further disrupt the cable TV model and break contracts with distributors. These contracts have long helped finance the billions of dollars in fees that networks pay professional sports teams to broadcast games.
