Trump Rally turned a voter right into a Kamala Harris voter due to his insults and tardiness

Attending a Donald Trump rally turned at least one attendee into a Kamala Harris supporter.

At a rally in Las Vegas, a 22-year-old undecided voter grew tired of the insults and wanted to leave, the Washington Post reported. “Anastasia Bennett, 22, quickly grew tired of the insults and was ready to leave. Bennett was undecided before attending the rally with her aunt, who supports Harris. But after hearing Trump

She said she planned to vote for Harris.

“'It was the insults and just being an hour late,' she said.”

People regularly leave former President Donald Trump's rallies early, which is why The Washington Post asked why. They found that most stay, but Trump often arrives too late and leaves too long, “leading many to withdraw because of other responsibilities, priorities or sometimes because of waning patience and lack of interest, according to interviews and observations by The Washington Post in dozens of events.” Some said they were trying to escape traffic or had work the next day. Others complained about the sound quality. A man wanted to go home to his French bulldog. Another had to go home to his daughter. A third had a Yorkie with him who started acting up. A fourth man said his phone was broken.”

A few examples from their reporting:

In Atlanta, “hundreds if not thousands of people left the arena as he continued to talk, attack Republican Gov. Brian Kemp and go off script.”

In Indiana, Pennsylvania, “attendees flocked as Trump falsely claimed more than an hour into his speech that 'every legal expert' wanted to send abortion policy back to the states.” World War II repeated.”

“At 9:20 p.m., about 90 minutes after it began, the empty seats at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex were visible as Trump called the nation's capital a 'horror show.'” He finished his speech about five minutes later.”

Indiana, Pennsylvania is a district that Trump won by a wide margin, but I've spoken to die-hard Trump supporters there and followed the same people from the 2016 campaign to today who told me they wished he would stop holding rallies, because it sounds good. He gives off whining and weakness. They still support him and still want him to win, but even they can see that he doesn't go over well when he speaks publicly.

We see evidence of this in the decreased visible support for the former president in western Pennsylvania: There are fewer Trump signs and a surprising number of Harris Walz signs. More surprising Harris Walz signs pop up every day. Signs are not true, but they can be seen as a sign of enthusiasm.

In Tucson, even Republican Senate candidate Kari Lake left early; in fact, she was among the first to leave, the Post reported.

Trump won't shorten the two hours because “They want a show.” They want two hours,” according to an ally who spoke to the Post.

Gone is the charismatic populist who made blanket promises that he couldn't possibly keep and then showed he had little interest in actually attending. He rambles, he spends two hours giving them a “show” that consists of airing stale, old, immature grievances in order to publicly fondle them, go off script, hurl insults, slur his words – and that only after he showed up late.

These days, actually listening to Donald Trump is enough to deter potential supporters. I've heard this repeatedly from die-hard Trump supporters in Pennsylvania, and now we have at least one Trump rally attendee. Getting to know Donald Trump can mean disliking him.
