President Donald Trump published his latest call to the US Federal Reserve on Friday after a better than expected job report for April at lower interest rates.
“Just as I said, and we are only in a transition phase, just start !!!” Trump wrote in an exuberant social post -post -minute after the latest data was not published as part of the data.
“For years, consumers have been waiting for pricing. No inflation, the Fed should reduce their rate !!!” he wrote.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported on Friday morning that salary statements without agriculture in April increased a seasonally adjusted work of 177,000 jobs, which defeated the estimate of 133,000 Dow Jones. However, the number came under the 185,000 jobs revised downwards in March.
The shares rose after the publication.
Post shows that Trump continues his efforts to influence the decision -making process of the central bank and to question its many years of independence from the executive.
But it also shows that Trump continues to reduce his criticism of the Fed chairman Jerome Powell, whose work has recently been threatened.
Trump criticized Powell for a long time and to reduce him in the hope of growth. The economic assistant Kevin Hassett said last month that the white house was investigating rules that President Powell could fire.
Powell said that Trump cannot legally fire him legally as a Fed chair in May 2026. But fears that Trump could still try to replace Powell with someone who is willing to bend the political pressure on the tariffs and have frightened the investors around the world.
On April 21, these fears triggered a sale, in which the large indices and the US dollar slump brought in on the same day.
Since then, Trump has said that he had “no intention” to dismiss Powell and he has re -elected his criticism.
“I have a fed person who is not really good,” said Trump on Tuesday at a rally to Michigan, without ever mentioning Powell.
“I want to be very nice and respectful to the Fed,” he added. “You shouldn't criticize the Fed; you should have his own thing done, but I know much more than he about interest rates, believe me.”
In contrast to his response to the news of Wednesday, Trump's message on Friday morning was that the US economy had stepped together for the first time in 2022.
In this case, Trump accused the former President Joe Biden for the bad GDP in the first quarter and claimed: “He left us with bad numbers.”
Later on Wednesday, Trump suggested that bidding be accused again in the second quarter.
