President Donald Trump started in the first week of his second term with comprehensive changes to US health care and federal health authorities.
Here are some of the biggest changes that we saw last week:
We rely on the WHO
Trump signed an executive order to withdraw the USA from the World Health Organization. In 2021, the Biden Administration of Trump stopped the first formal attempt to end a US exit from the WHO.
The effects on the United States could be important: the WHO is the first alarm system when a new outbreak occurs, which helps the member countries to quickly get the necessary information to help their citizens.
