Tesla CEO Elon Musk has released Omead Afshar, the vice president of the car manufacturer for Manufacturing and Operations.

According to internal organizational diagrams, which were viewed by CNBC, Afshar, who reported directly at Musk, headed a team of more than half a dozen high -ranking employees.

Forbes initially reported that Afshar was released by Musk. Bloomberg used to report that Afshar left the company.

The leaders of the Afhar team were Troy Jones, the Vice President of Tesla by North American Sales, and Joe Ward, Vice President of the Europe, Middle East and Africa. In his team there was also Karen Steakley, who is now heading business development and policy for Tesla and previously held the role of deputy director of legislative matters for the Texas Republican governor Greg Abbott.

CNBC turned to Afshar and other Tesla executives as well as to board members. They did not immediately respond to inquiries about comments.

Afshar was the subject of an internal investigation in Tesla in 2022, reported Bloomberg, who had concentrated on his orders, which had difficulty to create cross -creation materials, including a special type of glass for a mysterious project for Musk.

After this probe, Afshar also worked for SpaceX, Musk's aerospace and defense company, but had returned to Tesla and was promoted to the role of Vice President.

Afhar's profile on X still says that he was in Tesla and this week he praised Musk after the company's start of the pilot -robotaxi service of the company in Austin, Texas, and wrote: “Thank you, Elon for urges you all!”

Afhar's cancellation follows the resignation of Milan Kovac, previously head of the Optimus Humanoid Robotics program from Tesla, early this month. Kovac said in one post on X that he left to spend more time with his family. Musk gave Kovac publicly for his work.

Tesla's share price has dropped by 19% this year and the Nasdaq and most of its Megacap -Tech colleagues are poorly below average.

The Tesla new sales sales in Europe fell in May for a fifth month in a row, according to data that was published on Wednesday by the European Automobile Manufacturer Association or ACEA, as customers to European brands and cheaper Chinese electric vehicles.

The company was confronted with brand and reputation damage last year, mainly due to the fire rhetoric and the political activity of Musk. Musk spent almost 300 million US dollars to choose the US President Donald Trump in a second term, and then led an initiative to reduce federal authorities and their resources.

Musk also supported and promoted the right-wing extremist AfD party against immigrants.
