Kamala Harris refutes Trump's declare that he’s a protector of girls
In an interview with MSNBC, Vice President Kamala Harris dismantled Trump's claim that he is a protector of women.
Stephanie Ruhle asked Vice President Harris: “Because today we are talking about the economy. And people don't often think about the fact that reproductive rights are an economic issue. But it is. A woman's ability to plan her future, her education, her life. Today and in the last few days Donald Trump
keeps talking about it and how he helped women by overturning Roe V. Wade. He protected women. He says they are unhappy today. They are poorer today, they are more vulnerable today. He said he will be the protector of women if he is elected. Can you answer that?”
The Vice President replied:
So Donald Trump is also the one who said women should be punished for making a decision about their own bodies and their futures that is theirs. I think we can all agree that because of his attitude toward women, he also appointed three members of the United States Supreme Court who did what he intended: They overturned the protections of Roe v. Wade, and now in state after state, laws are being passed that punish women.
Laws that, I mean, most recently a heartbreaking story that resulted in the death of a young woman. A mother of a 6-year-old. Heartbreaking stories. And that goes for the listener, let alone his family. So, look, I think the thing about Donald Trump is that you
I don't think the women of America expect him to protect them. The women of America need his trust.
Rühle asked: “Can we trust you?”
Harris replied, “Yes. Yes. I'm not perfect. But I'm telling you, the needs of the people will always come first for me.”

.@SRuhle did a great job on this interview with Kamala Harris. Harris responded to Trump's claim that he will protect women: “I don't think the women of America need him to say he will protect them. The women of America need him to trust them.” pic.twitter.com/H71KKkCDmt

The whole interview was very good. Stephanie Ruhle asked difficult questions about the economy.
Harris shattered the notion that the man who selected Supreme Court justices who voted to abolish women's rights was also a protector of women.
Women don't need to be protected from their right to choose. They need to make sure Donald Trump isn't even close to power, because reproductive freedom isn't a threat to their safety, whereas men like Donald Trump are.
