Kamala Harris fires up Detroit, goals for early voting file
Vice President Harris is conducting a series of early voting events in Michigan. In Detroit, she fired up the crowd and said the goal was an early voting record.

Harris said, “My team told me, so you know, Georgia started early voting and broke historic early voting records.” North Carolina started early voting and broke historic records in North Carolina. So we're going to break the records here in Detroit today, yes we are. We will do this because we know what is at stake and because we know the power of the people. This is about people power.”
Harris also pointed out the contrast between her and Trump

The vice president said:
We will win. So you're all here, taking some time out from your busy lives and all your other commitments, and thank you very much. And I know what today is. This is a working day. We're ready to go out there, we're ready to walk around the neighborhood, we're ready to talk to our neighbors and friends and just talk about the people that we see and remind them that they're important and that We are so optimistic about our new generation of leadership for America and what we will do together.
It's about investing in working people, in the middle class and in our children. What we do as interns is to care about our children's education, which is why we don't fall for others by trying to get rid of the Ministry of Education and the Edge.
Because we know what we stand for. We stand for the idea that the true measure of a leader's strength is not in who you knock down, but in who you lift up! And those are the things we stand for, as a community of people who understand the importance of caring and kindness, who understand the importance of having a leader who tells the truth and doesn't care so much takes care of yourself.
Kamala Harris seems to have gotten the message, the campaign, and now she's spending the last few weeks of the election doing everything she can to encourage her supporters to vote.
If early voters in North Carolina, Georgia and Michigan show up for them in record numbers, Trump could find himself in a hole so big that he won't be able to close the gap on Election Day.
Harris is out there working swing states while Trump is reportedly too exhausted to mount a full campaign.
