Kamala Harris extends her lead over Trump by 5 factors after debate
Trump should have used the debate to slow Kamala Harris' advance. Instead, Harris is now ahead of Trump by 47% to 42%.

She leads Republican Donald Trump 47% to 42% in the race to win the Nov. 5 presidential election, extending her lead after a debate against the former president that voters overwhelmingly see as her winner, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll that ended Thursday.
The two-day poll showed Harris leading among registered voters by five percentage points, just above her four percentage point lead over Trump. in a Reuters/Ipsos poll from August 21 to 28.
The debate has damaged Trump Viewers thought Harris would have won by a margin of 53% to 24%. Less than a quarter of debate viewers believed Donald Trump would have won. This statistic is the definition of a political disaster.
The election campaign is still a long way off, but so far Trump has found nothing that could slow Harris' advance. No further presidential debates are planned.
