MP Jamie Raskin (D-MD) has been fighting for the protection of American democracy for years. After Trump's demand for the elevation of federal judges who prevailed against him, Raskin spoke.
Raskin said in an explanation:
Donald Trump loses to court every day. He loses ahead of Bush judges and bidges, Obama -judges and Reagan. Trump even loses from judges that he himself called the bank during his first term.
Trump drowns in these humiliating legal defeats, but it refers to accept that we are still a nation of laws and not a royal decree, and now imposes the judges who have maintained the constitution against his lawlessness.
Trump actually demands that the judges be charged against him.
He does not demand the elevation of judges who have ruled in his favor. So his rule is clear: either Trump's favor or is suspended.
We have only 15 federal judges in the history of our country, always due to professional misconduct such as consistent poisoning on the bench, conspiracy for taking bribes, income tax evasion and meinereid.
