Dozens of Republicans are humiliating Trump/Musk by rejecting CR

Donald Trump called for raising the debt limit as part of the government funding bill, but 38 Republicans in the House of Representatives ignored his request and voted against the bill.

Trump-backed CR fails in House of Representatives…. 174-235-1 An incredible 38 Republicans ignored Trump

and Speaker MIKE JOHNSON and voted no. The bill was considered on a fast-track basis, requiring two-thirds of the vote to pass. Not only that it didn't get a 2/3. There weren't even 218, a simple majority. An inauspicious start for Trump's re-emergence into the world of lawmaking. We still have a long way to go.

Speaker Mike Johnson has no good options. He tried to do it Trump's way and ended up humiliated along with the president-elect and his little buddy Elon Musk.

Trump has created the myth that he rules the Republicans and dictates what happens to the Republicans because what he says applies, but that is not the truth.

Donald Trump is not respected by Republicans in Congress, and it is uncertain whether he is still feared because everyone knows that Trump will no longer exist in four years.

Democrats have refused to lift a finger to help Trump raise the debt ceiling, and he doesn't have the votes to do it alone.

The new president doesn't know anything about governing, but that's what millions of Americans voted for, and they're already getting a preview of what Trump's next presidency will look like.
