President Donald Trump offered to choose the tensions between India and Pakistan on Wednesday, which was escalated due to a recently Islamist terrorist attack in the Kashmir region.
Trump commented the situation hours after India made strikes against Pakistan early Wednesday morning.
“It's terrible,” said Trump about the conflict.
“My position is that I can get along with both,” said Trump in the Oval Office, after swearing in the former Senator David Perdue from Georgia as US ambassador in China.
“I know both very well and I want you to work,” said the president. “I want you to stop and hopefully you can stop now.”
He added that the United States has good relationships with both countries and would like to see the “Tit-fortat” Anhalt.
“If I can do something to help, I'll be there,” said Trump.
