United airlines I will cancel 35 round trip flights per day from his schedule at the Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey, after thousands of passengers were confronted with hours of delays this week, CEO Scott Kirby said on Friday and responsible, the disruptions of the deficiency in the lack of personnel traffic and the technological problems of the air traffic department and the technological problems of the Federal Aviation Administration to accuse.

The flight cuts are about 10% of the daily schedule of United in his Newark Hub.

By Friday afternoon, more than 300 flights in and from Newark were delayed, which, according to the flightsware from Flight-Tracking site, has increased to more than 1,400 other delays and cancellations.

“It is disappointing to make an already reduced schedule available in Newark. However, since there is no way to solve the short-term structural FAA personnel problems, we have the feeling that there is no other choice to protect our customers,” said Kirby on Friday in a note.

The schedule begins this weekend.

Kirby said that 20% of Air traffic controls for Newark had “gone the job away” in the last few days after several technology gliders.

“Remember that this special flight safety device has been chronically understaffed for years, and without these controllers it is now clear – and the FAA tells us – that Newark Airport cannot cope with the number of aircraft that should work there in the coming weeks and months,” he said.

The FAA said in an indication that personnel problems delayed business at Newark on Friday.

According to Kirby, the airline is now asking for the agency to control the capacity at the airport more closely by setting up flight restrictions, such as the institutions in other heavily overloaded facilities such as Laguardia and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport Airport.

Last year, the FAA moved air traffic controls, which are responsible for airspace in Newark, instead of a facility in New York to Philadelphia to relieve traffic jams.

The FAA and the transport department did not immediately respond to inquiries about Kirby's statement. However, transport secretary Sean Duffy wrote to X that he visited the establishment of Philadelphia, in which “is to be spoken to our hard -working air traffic controllers to fix these equipment failures caused by outdated technology. It is unacceptable.” He called for a “brand new air traffic control system”.

The airlines union rejected a statement.

Kirby said he spoke to secretary Duffy on Friday and praised the Trump government for it

United announced on Thursday that FAA technology failures, starting and landingways and strong winds had led to the disorders that were forced to distract at least 21 flights.

Newark is one of the most overloaded airports in the country, and Kirby has repeatedly complained about the lack of air traffic controls. United has also coordinated his Newark time plan for excessive delays in recent years and blamed similar factors.

The transport department offered a new series of incentives on Thursday to reduce the lack of personnel on air traffic controls, a problem that has been going on for years and deteriorated during the training piet in the middle of the Covid 19 pandemic.

United Airlines said that it would forego change fees or differences in tariffs for customers who are affected by the Newark disorders.
