In view of the contempt of Trump for the United States' judicial department, it is not surprising that its government has taken the authoritarian step to oblige the judges because he supposedly hindered immigration measures.
Rep. Jamie Raskin explained in a statement why Trump's actions are not business as usual:
The Americans are outraged on the breathtaking news that Trump's FBI arrested a seated judge in Milwaukee due to alleged disability. While all facts are not yet in the effects of this arrest. This is a drastic escalation and a dangerous new front in Trump's authoritarian campaign to try to harass judges, intimidate and capture that do not follow his dictations. We have to do everything we can to defend the independent judiciary in America.
As judge Wilkinson, a conservative Reagan representative of the fourth circle, reminded us last week, this government has shown a brazen contempt for the judiciary. They make court resolutions every day and try to accuse judges who have joined their lawlessness. This contempt for the judicial function is now being armed, with the administration arrested a judge due to suspected despite literally.
Every American should be deeply worried about this massive escalation, and the judicial democrats are strong for the independence of judicial independence. This is an unmistakable descent into the authoritarian chaos.
What Trump does is trying to intimidate the judges.
