It has been less than two weeks since Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a prominent vaccine skeptic, was confirmed to lead the Ministry of Health and Human Services.
But he already makes movements that can take up immunization and influence politics in the United States in the United States.
It's not a big surprise. Kennedy has long misleading and false statements about the safety of shots. He claimed that despite decades of studies that expose this association, they are connected to autism.
Kennedy is also the founder of the non-profit children's health defense, the best financed anti-access organization in the United States in a state ethics agreement in January.
Kennedy tried to distance himself from these views during his hearing of the Senate's confirmation hearings, and claimed that he was not “against vaccination booths” and would do nothing to “make it difficult or to prevent people from taking pictures for measles and polio.
Senator Bill Cassidy from Louisiana, who was considered one of the largest Republican swing voices, finally supported Kennedy's appointment after receiving the assurances that the Trump government would not reduce the country's security systems or change government recommendations for vaccinations.
But his previous track record suggests something else.
Here is what has been reported so far with vaccines under Kennedy:
- Checking the vaccination plan for children in childhood – In his first speech in front of employees, Kennedy said last week that, despite the earlier, he would test the vaccination schedule for childhood not to do so. He promised that a new “Make America Healthy” commission would examine vaccines, pesticides and antidepressants in order to see whether they contributed to an increase in chronic illnesses in the USA Trump last week in an executive regulation. Although Kennedy did not directly change changes to the vaccination plan, he made it clear that the committee will examine problems, including childhood vaccinations, that “were checked taboo or insufficiently”.
- CDC -vaccine -advertising campaign stopped – The CDC was instructed to create some advertising campaigns for a variety of vaccines, including a campaign that appeals to seasonal flu photos, according to several outlets. The deputy secretary for public affairs from HHS informed the CDC that Kennedy wanted ads who promote the idea of ”informed consent” when making decisions in the vaccine, Stat News reported last week. The declaration of consent refers to a process in which patients receive important information, including possible risks and advantages, through medical procedures or treatment. It comes in a brutal flu season in the USA that has not yet been completed.
- Plans to remove some CDC, FDA consultants – – – Kennedy is preparing to remove members of the external committees who advise the Food and Drug Administration and the CDC about vaccination disorders and other important decisions for public health last week. According to reports, he plans to replace members that he perceives as conflicts of interest, although it is unclear how many people are switched off or when. This is part of a broader effort to limit what he criticized as an inappropriate influence of the pharmaceutical industry on the government's health authorities. Kennedy will probably aim at the CDC consulting committee for immunization practices – or ACIP – that plays a crucial role in determining the US vaccine directive. He also examines other external panels, such as those who advise the FDA.
- First CDC Advisory Panel Meeting postponed – The first acip meeting since Kennedy has been postponed after several news agencies for “public comments in the run -up to the meeting”. The advisory committee meets three times a year to weigh the advantages and disadvantages of newly approved or updated recordings. The ACIP helps the CDC to give recommendations for states and insurers that should cover vaccines, including childhood vaccinations. It is unclear whether Kennedy was right behind the delay of the meeting, which was originally planned for Wednesday to Friday. HHS officials did not share when it was planned.
We will continue to follow the fate of the nation's approach. Be looking forward to our updates.

The latest in the healthcare system Tech: Oracle hers the formal application for Tefca

oracle On Monday, it announced that it formally submitted its application to join a new, referring to the medical network called Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (TEFCA).
The network aims to standardize the legal and technical requirements for the exchange of patient data, which is a notoriously complex process. Health data is protected by laws such as insurance and accountability or hipaa. Therefore, the exchange of this information is not an easy task on a large scale.
Tefca was launched at the end of 2023 and falls below the area of responsibility of an office in the US Health Ministry and the Human Services. Oracle had previously announced his intention to join TEFCA in October.
Oracle acquired the Riese Cerner for medical documents in 2022 for around 28 billion US dollars, and the company has worked to revise its technology in recent years. Entry to Tefca is a “natural next step” for Oracle, Seema Verma, Executive Vice President of Oracle Health and Life Sciences, told CNBC in an interview in October.
“This builds on our long -term leadership to increase interoperability in order to increase the industry -wide efficiency and ensure that patients keep control of their own data,” said Verma in a statement on Monday.
The main groups that are involved in the exchange of health data via TEFCA are referred to as qualified health information networks or Qhins. These networks must be approved and your participation is voluntary.
From Tuesday, eight organizations, including Oracle competitor Epic Systems, were recognized as proven Qhins for TEFCA Exchange.
If Oracle is approved for TEFCA, it would help to expand the range of the stock exchange and further strengthen its credibility. The ORACLE network would support the exchange of data such as X-ray and MRTs that are traditionally not available via other stock exchanges, the company added.
It is not immediately clear whether or when Oracle's application is approved.
