Ford CEO requires a “complete” tariff evaluation for all international locations

Detroit – Ford engine CEO Jim Farley said on Wednesday on Wednesday when the Trump administration will implement tariffs that affect the automotive industry by tariffs, it should be a “comprehensive” view of all countries.

Farley has selected Toyota Motor and Hyundai Motor for the import of hundreds of thousands of vehicles annually from Japan and South Korea, which compared to 25% tariff tariff President Donald Trump in Canada and Mexico have little or no tasks.

Globaldata reports that 46.6% of all vehicles sold in the USA were produced outside the country last year. South Korea with 8.6%and Japan with 8.2%in vehicle imports in second and third place, only to Mexico, with 16.2%, reports Globaldata.

Cars that are imported from South Korea currently have no tariffs, while the tariffs imported from Japan are subject to 2.5% duties. Truck imports for the countries are 25%.

Apart from Hyundai and his sibling company Kia, General Motors Imported hundreds of thousands of vehicles from South Korea every year.
