President Donald Trump said on Friday that five other law firms had made agreements with his administration in which they commit to at least 600 million US dollars in the Pro Bono work for causes that the President supports.
The new deals are followed by similar steps from numerous other law firms that threaten Trump to sign criminal regulations for their previous or current association with his perceived enemies.
Trump on Truth Social On Friday said that four companies – Kirkland & Ellis LLP, Allen Overy Shearman Sterling US LLP, Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP and Latham & Watkins LLP – are at least 125 million US dollars in free legal work for a total of 500 million US dollars.
In a separate contribution, Trump announced a similar deal with Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, LLP for at least $ 100 million.
The Pro -Bono services are aimed at causes that support both Trump and the companies, the support of veterans, combating anti -Semitism and the guarantee of “fairness in our judicial system” according to the contributions.
All five companies also agreed “not to operate illegal DEI discrimination and preferences” and to commit themselves to a “merit -based attitude”.
They also confirm that they do not refuse to represent the customer “due to the personal political views of individual lawyers”.
Trump also revealed that the US Commission for Distribution Possibilities due to the agreements with Kirkland, Allen, SIMPSON and LATHAM letters that they sent on March 17th will withdraw and will not raise any claims related to these questions. “
