Democrats are harder on no labels

Democrats are taking seriously the threat of a third-party presidential nomination through No Labels, as Wisconsin Democratic Party Chairman Ben Wikler warned there is a Trump logo beneath the No Labels label.

Wikler told CNN’s Jim Acosta when asked about “No Labels,” “You know, if you peel off the No Labels tag, you see the Trump campaign logo underneath.” The best way to think about “no labels.” , is kind of a desperate move. A desperate move, funded by huge Republican super-donors, that will ultimately only turn voters away from Biden and pave the way for Donald Trump. As a result, they don’t really resonate with grassroots activists, in fact nobody but a small circle of mega-donors on the right. I think that’s a real problem for them and really belies their branding.”

With state presidential elections being decided on such slim margins, a well-funded third-party candidate could steal votes from President Biden and send Donald Trump back to the White House.

I don’t think a nationally unpopular Democrat like Senator Joe Manchin is necessarily the answer No Labels thinks is possible.

However, as anyone who witnessed the 2000 election can tell you, a third-party candidate doing well in some states is enough to win an entire presidential election.

Democrats do not condone the no-label threat and are making it clear that no-label has a label and that is Trump 2024.
