Abrego Garcia was charged with a federal court in Tennessee because of the transport of migrants without papers within the United States.
The indictment claims that Abego Garcia and others from 2016 to 2025 “conspired to bring aliens without papers from countries such as Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Ecuador and elsewhere before they are crossed to Texas.”
The Grand Jury, who granted the indictment, found that he made more than 100 trips to smuggle thousands of immigrants.
