Mike Johnson made the shows on Sunday morning and log over the household bill in the house. Johnson lied through Medicaid cuts. The spokesman for the Trump economy and he lied what the law template for the country would do with regard to growth.
Senator Michael Bennet (D-Co) listened to Johnson and then told the country the truth.
Video:
Bennet described what the house bill would do with the healthcare system:
I think we will make sure that American people understand what is in this calculation.
It is completely incoherent. The Republicans cannot agree on what they are trying to do with it. And the cuts to Medicaid will be devastating for rural America and rural Colorado. I spent a lot of time to listen to health service providers in red parts of the state who voted for Donald Trump, who are not busy, fraud and abuse.
You have to try to provide health care with a joke as it is, no OB services, no – none of the things that someone in the industrialized world expects as it is. And now Trump and his allies will cut medicaid.
And there will be many of these providers out of business. It will make people who make a very long way from Denver Life, impossible to get health care for their children. And I hope we can stop it.
But if we cannot do it if the 53 Republicans insist on the Senate to enforce it, the American people will know who this law has.
Bennet said about Johnson:
It's not true.
Look, I – before I was in the Senate, I was headmistress. Most children were in poverty. Her parents worked two and three jobs. The problem is not that they don't work. Although they worked, they could not get their children out of poverty because our economy did not work well enough for workers and middle class.
The same applies to the rural communities that I have just talked about that are served by these hospitals. I – and by the way, it's not just about Medicaid. I recently had a conversation with – only last week with a woman who completed in Gunnison, Colorado in Western, “I am taken out by my parents' health insurance in one year. Is it really true that I only pay two or three jobs for the privilege of paying for health insurance?”
It's crazy, Jake. And that is the health system that America has today that Trump will worsen. Democrats should not only find out how these cuts can be stopped, but to give the American people a vision for a modern health system that looks like the rest of the industrialized world because the American people will really do these decisions – in the end not about the rhetoric of the speaker Johnson.
It's about how people will influence their daily life. And I'm sorry to say that this calculation will influence it in a large way. In a negative way.
The house's republican bill makes no sense. It is pile of junk that is paved together to get through the house. It contradicts itself and has no coherent purpose. It is a large, bloated stuff that was patched so that the house has given up a little.
To mention this as a bad calculation would be an understatement.
It is a terrible calculation, and the American people must know exactly what is in it to hold every single Republican who votes.
