The rapper reportedly believes Smith has important information that could help her case against Carl Crawford.
The “H-Town Hottie” accuses 1501 label execs of refusing to produce Smith for a statement.
Now she wants them to take Smith to court to release that information.
Meg claims 1501 worked with Harris to create the dissident track “Bussin Back.” However, the label categorically rejects this claim.
Label last month filed a motion to dismiss Meg’s claim that the subpoena was a case of mistaken identity
Meanwhile, 1501 filed a motion to dismiss Megan Thee Stallion’s claims last month.
The filing alleges that Smith is not an employee of the record label but an independent contractor. They said he had worked with 1501 artists but had no contract with the label, Radar Online reports.
However, Crawford says Megan has a case of mistaken identity. He claims she mistook “Darien Smith” for “Darrian Smith,” which Crawford says are two completely different people.
“The allegations that 1501 “maliciously” participated in a “smear campaign”. [Megan]’are just as ridiculous as [Megan’s] “I refused to listen to 1501 when it told her long ago that she was after the wrong Darien Smith,” the label told the outlet.
