Acosta: People shouldn’t have to die for some politicians to own the libraries. They don’t own anyone, but they may end up owning the pandemic because they are prolonging it. Maybe it’s time to name those new flavors that may come out after them … https://t.co/1xfTUGY1rt
Acosta said: “People shouldn’t have to die for some politicians to own the libraries. They don’t own anything, but they may end up owning the pandemic because they are prolonging it. Perhaps it is time to name those new variations that may appear after them. Why not name the DeSantis variant instead of the Delta variant? We could sell beer koozies that say, not Florida, my Fauci, and use the money to pay for any funerals that are coming up in the coming days. “
Naming the variants after Republican governors would put responsibility where it belongs.
The Delta variant is the DeSantis variant. Future variants could be named after Governor Greg Abbott of Texas and Kristi Noem of South Dakota.
DeSantis has tried to quarrel with President Biden because he believes he might have a chance to become president. (Ron DeSantis has no chance of becoming president.)
Naming the variants after Republican governors, even if only informally in the United States, is a great idea as it puts the blame for all of the unnecessary deaths and injuries caused by the pandemic on the shoulders of those who who should fully own it for the world to see.
