AND! News: What do you think is the paranormal that keeps a fascinating audience?
Zak Bagans: The paranormal is a mystery, and people are drawn to mystery because it’s a thrill. We all have intelligent minds and we all have consciousness and we all sit and think about life. When others die around us, we start thinking about those experiences we all have, that we never forget, with ghosts or things like that … that after we’re gone, that’s it. There’s a lot more to it than that. There are so many secrets that scientists cannot explain with many things, and the afterlife is one of those things.
And I think since everyone has a phone these days, an iPhone, everyone has, you know, ghost hunting gear right in their pockets and purses. They have a camera, they have an audio recorder, they have ghost apps, they have all of that. So there is a bigger platform to share the experience as well.
