Why Paul Rudd & Cole Sprouse have been absent from the chums reunion

Did you notice that a few Friends stars are missing from the reunion? You’re not alone.

The much anticipated HBO Max event naturally consisted of cast members Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Mathew Perry– along with a number of cameos from well-known guest stars of the Friends. However, there were two standout figures who were MIA from reunification: Paul Rudd and Cole Sprouse.

Why Rudd, who played Phoebe’s husband Mike, and Sprouse, who portrayed Ross’s son Ben, weren’t involved in the reunion sounds like there are just too many stars to fit in with so little time.

“Well, we couldn’t have all of them because it’s only an hour and 45 minutes. And you have to be careful – the main point of the show has to be about the six cast.” Ben Winston, who ran the reunion special, shared it with TheWrap. “So you can’t have too many cameos because of course there have been hundreds of amazing people who have been with friends over the years. Unfortunately, we couldn’t bring them all in.”
