Vernon Jordan, civil rights activist and former close advisor to President Bill Clinton, died at the age of 85.
Jordan died Monday night, CNBC’s Andrew Ross Sorkin reported.
“Vernon E. Jordan Jr. died peacefully last night surrounded by loved ones. We appreciate the outpouring of love and affection,” Jordan’s daughter Vickee Jordan said in a statement, Sorkin said.
