The favored kids’s tv sequence ‘Arthur’ ends after 25 seasons
I don’t think there is an Arthur meme that can show how sad I am that ‘Arthur’ is ending!
‘Arthur’ is the longest running children’s animation series on television and after 25 seasons, Buster and everyone will finally be saying goodbye. The last season of the series is scheduled to air in early 2022.
“Arthur is the longest-running children’s animated series in history and is known for bringing kindness, empathy and inclusion to generations of viewers through many groundbreaking moments,” said the show’s executive producer, Carol Greenwald, in a statement reported by NPR.
But no worry. You will still be able to share the magic of Arthur with the kids in your life since Greenwald said the show will be available on PBS KIDS for years to come.
If you didn’t grow up watching Arthur, you’re missing something. The show is about an 8 year old aardvark who navigates life between family, friends and school.
The show featured different characters representing a variety of cultures, classes, and backgrounds.
The show also touched on topics that crossed the boundaries for children’s shows. In recent years, the show has been both acclaimed and hot for a 2019 episode that features a same-sex wedding.
News of the show’s end began a few weeks ago when one of the show’s writers, Kathy Waugh, revealed that the show was no longer in production and the final episode was completed a few years ago.
“I believe Arthur should come back, ”Waugh said. “I know I’m not alone when I think you made a mistake.”
But Greenwald gave the fans some hope. Their statement also stated, “Producer GBH and PBS KIDS continue to work together on additional Arthur content and share lessons from Arthur and his friends in new ways.”
