President Joe Biden’s Covid-19 Response Team is holding a press conference Wednesday on the coronavirus pandemic that infected more than 27 million Americans and killed at least 468,217 people in about a year.
The briefing comes as new reports discover that some Americans are skeptical about getting a Covid-19 vaccine. Just under half of the adults surveyed in the United States in December said they were very likely to be vaccinated. This comes from a new study by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The Associated Press also found that one in three Americans says they are definitely or probably not in charge.
This could potentially jeopardize US vaccination efforts to fight the pandemic. Without the so-called herd immunity, the virus will continue to spread from person to person and from place to place in the coming years, scientists have said.
