Roommate, it’s been a few days since former Olympic athletics hopeful Sha’Carri Richardson made national news after she was disqualified from the upcoming Tokyo Olympics for marijuana use. Fast forward, and Sha’Carri Richardson smiled on her first public appearance since the controversy when she attended this year’s ESPY Awards.

Sha’Carri Richardson was the main topic of conversation after news that she would not be able to compete in this year’s Tokyo Olympics after testing positive for marijuana during the Olympics in Oregon earlier this month.

Well, if you thought she was going to be sad somewhere and avoid the limelight, you’d be wrong because she slipped into her best glam and front row seated at the 2021 ESPY Awards hosted by actor Anthony Mackie who used his opening monologue to give Sha. to shout “Carri and make a lighthearted joke about her suspension.

“USA Track & Field, how do you screw this up? Weed is a debilitating drug. All you have to do is watch another episode of ‘Bob’s Burgers’. I don’t see how you can justify not letting them go, ”said Anthony.

As we previously reported, after the spate of support and encouragement she received after testing positive for marijuana a few weeks before the upcoming Tokyo Olympics, Sha’Carri has to say goodbye to her dreams of the 2021 Olympics after she was not selected as a member of the 4×100 Olympic relay in Tokyo.

Currently banned, Sha’Carri had one last hope of advancing to the Olympics, but the 21-year-old will not be participating in any Olympic events according to the U.S. track and field line-up.
