Prime GOP Senator Says Biden that Republicans put companies earlier than unusual People
A top Republican senator told President Biden during an Oval Office meeting that Republicans are loyal to ordinary Americans.
The Washington Post reported:
Whether a bipartisan deal will ultimately come about is far from clear, however, as a senior GOP Senator Biden said in a private meeting of the Oval Office Monday that it would be “almost impossible” to get Republicans on board if the plan were to raise it the corporate tax rate it provides currently does. There is also widespread private skepticism among Congressional Republicans that the White House is really open to a bipartisan deal that could significantly reduce Biden’s ambitions.
A good rule of thumb is that if Republicans don’t benefit the rich and corporate, they will always be against spending the money. The only surprising element of the story is that one Republican senator was ready to say out loud that their party puts the needs of corporations before the needs of the American people.
President Biden will never be able to reach a bipartisan deal with Republicans on spending and the economy because Biden tries to work for the people while Republicans are only interested in serving their business leaders.
If you’re not a company, Republicans don’t care about you. You will never do what is right for the American people unless there is something in it for business.
