Kanye West’s Yeezy hires Balenciaga to design a t-shirt devoted to the reminiscence of DMX – all proceeds go to the DMX household
# Roommates, while family, friends and fans gather to say goodbye to the iconic DMX for good as its memorial service officially begins – Kanye West has come up with a special way of honoring him. Kanye’s Yeezy brand, which hired Balenciaga’s high fashion house, personally asked her to create something very special to ensure the DMX legacy lives on.
One of DMX’s last public appearances was when he showed up and performed at Kanye’s Sunday service – so it’s appropriate that Ye decide to honor him in a special way while doing his part to help his family. Under the umbrella of Yeezy, Kanye’s billion dollar brand, Balenciaga designed a special tribute t-shirt for DMX, the proceeds of which went directly to his family.
The t-shirt is available starting today for $ 200 and can be purchased at http://dmx-tribute.com/.
As we previously reported, DMX’s public memorial will be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Although the center has a capacity of 19,000, there will be limited capacity due to COVID-19 restrictions. Following the memorial, the DMX family will hold an intimate memorial service for close family and friends at a church in the NYC area the following day, April 25.
