Roommate, sad news from Wyoming as authorities have confirmed human remains found earlier today match descriptions of missing Mrs. Gabby Petito.
“Full forensic identification has not yet been performed to 100% confirm that we have found Gabby, but her family has been notified of the discovery,” said Charles Jones, FBI Denver senior resident agent.
According to CNN, Gabby and her fiancé Brian Laundrie were on a road trip across the country together when she disappeared. Gabby’s family reported her missing after Brian returned to the couple’s Florida home alone on September 1.
The police are also looking for Brian, whose whereabouts are unknown last Tuesday. Brian made headlines early in the investigation for allegedly refusing to cooperate with authorities.
At this point, authorities have not identified Gabby’s cause of death. This is a groundbreaking and evolving story.
