Spring has officially started, and you know what that means in fictional high school country: it’s spring music time.
High School Musical: The Musical: The series just released a trailer for the second season in which the theater kids from East High prepare for their next show. High School Musical was a huge hit so of course they should make everyone happy and do High School Musical 2 right? Not correct! Get ready for beauty and the beast!
The truth is that Miss Jenn (Kate Reinders) is intimidated when she meets the theater director at North High (played by Derek Hough). They’re doing The Little Mermaid and they’re competing for a prestigious high school theater award, so Miss Jenn feels East High needs to get into the action with a little “Be Our Guest”. Doesn’t quite fit the meta-theme of the show and we were so ready for a performance of Fabulous, but we’re going to take it.
Meanwhile Nini (Olivia Rodrigo) got into a quirky program, and she and Ricky (Joshua Bassett) Planning long distance calls to really work for her when a North High girl doesn’t get in the way.
