Former FBI deputy director Frank Figliuzzi said QAnon was a worsening domestic terrorist threat whose leadership, including GOP members of Congress and Trump, needed to be dismantled.

Figliuzzi said on MSNBC’s The Reid Out, “It’s gotten worse and has encouraged Trump and those around him who speak of magically returning to power in August. They think that can happen, we’d better be careful. Chris Wray said what happened was domestic terrorism. 25 years in the FBI, that’s how you deal with the domestic terrorism threat, any terrorist threat, dismantle the governance structure and go on 500 indictments, awesome, see conspiracy charges but can’t stop. You have to dismantle the governance structure, if that means sitting congressmen or people in Trump’s circle like Rudy Giuliani or Trump himself. It won’t go away if you continue to inspire and mentor others. “

The time to laugh at QAnon is over. That ended when they attacked the Capitol to try to overturn an election on January 6th. QAnon supporters seek to destroy democracy, and until the nation turns serious and the leadership persecutes, including currently elected and formerly elected officials who benefit from these lies, the problem will only get worse.

When it comes to ousting incumbent Congressmen and even a former president, the nation must pledge to save democracy.
