President Biden said, “The bottom line is that I cannot require private companies to do certain things related to cybersecurity. Many of you are very seasoned reporters who covered this debate on Capitol Hill before I became President and debated it internally when President Trump was. This will be an ongoing negotiation. But I think it’s becoming clearer to everyone that we have to do more than we do now. “

The President was asked, “Are you going to consider using cyber retaliation to take down these criminals? Are you ruling that out? “

He replied in one word: “No.”

Trump let Russia go wild on US cyber infrastructure for years. Trump did nothing and refused to acknowledge that the attacks came from Russia. The Russian government did not attack the colonial pipeline, but the attackers live in Russia.

Biden is cleaning up another Trump mess and will do everything in his power to not only keep U.S. security safe but also take out the criminals.
