Beyoncé & Jay-Z’s daughter Blue Ivy Carter is an official VMA winner

While fans may not have noticed, the 2021 MTV VMAs were quite a night for Beyoncé and Jay-Zhis oldest child, Blue ivy carter.

During the Video Music Awards broadcast on Sunday September 12th, towards the end of the night, MTV quickly rattled off a number of awards that were distributed on stage. One of them was the Best Camera Award for “Brown Skin Girl” attributed to Beyoncé. Holy Jn and Wizkid, with blue ivy.

This isn’t the first time the melody has won a prestigious award, as it also won the Grammy Award for Best Music Video earlier this year. The song was featured on the 2019 soundtrack album The Lion King: The Gift, and its music video appears in Beyoncé’s 2020 Netflix film, Black Is King.

The award made Blue Ivy, 9, the youngest ever VMA winner. Her voice can be heard at the beginning and the end of the song, and she also appears in the video with her mother.
