Adam Schiff rips off the masks of Jim Jordan’s Choose Committee Trump Cowl-Up

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) went inside to expose Rep. Jim Jordan’s (R-OH) select subcommittee as a cover-up operation.

Rep. Schiff said: “Republicans make an unsubstantiated claim that this committee will examine what they call arming the federal government. But the real purpose is to undermine the legitimate investigation into Trump’s incitement to a violent attack on this building, on this Capitol, on this citadel of democracy. An investigation affecting some of the members of this body who want to sit on this committee.”

Schiff also pointed out that McCarthy and House Republicans had previously used the same tactic when they formed a bogus special committee on Benghazi, which they admitted was aimed at reducing Hillary Clinton’s numbers.

Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries gets to pick five Democrats to serve on the Trump and GOP 1/6 cover-up committees, and one of those picks should be Adam Schiff.

The real purpose of this special committee became clear when Republicans gave Jim Jordan access to information normally reserved for members of the Intelligence Committee. Jordan also intends to subpoena the FBI’s criminal evidence against Trump.

Many House Republicans who want to serve on the new special committee supported Trump and the 1/6 conspiracy.

With the special committee, Trump is trying to derail the criminal investigations of the Justice Department.

It’s the same playbook that House Republicans used against Hillary Clinton in 2016. Only this time Adam Schiff said it.
