NEW ENGLAND MAY HAVE EXPERIENCED record rainfall in October, but that didn’t dampen the spirits of alumni and friends who participated during Homecoming Weekend events. One of the premiere events was the Chancellor’s Breakfast, hosted by Chancellor and Mrs. John V. Lombardi, where members of the university’s donor societies were recognized for their generous support. Over 200 guests attended the breakfast, held at the Campus Center Auditorium.
Alumni Club leaders also gathered for the annual Volunteer Leadership Conference. Leaders of 20 Alumni Clubs from across the United States participated in the three-day educational conference. In addition to collaborating and sharing experiences, club leaders met with university officials and attended workshops to learn about new strategies and initiatives to promote the Alumni Association and the campus.
What would Homecoming Weekend be without the festivities under the Alumni Tent at MinuteFan Park? Spirits were high as young and old gathered for food, fun, and of course, football. All who attended were well rewarded as the Minutemen went on to win 10-7 over fourth-ranked James Madison University!
