NO ONE LIKES TO DO laundry. That's the premise of Dirty Business, the class project, and now successfull business venture, of UMass Amherst grads Justin Zucker ’02 (left) and Michael Hauke ’04. The two were classmates in Geoffrey Allen's resource economics class in 2001 when they developed the idea of a laundry service for college students. The concept was so strong that they partnered with an asset management company in Connecticut that owns laundry facilities throughout the area. Together they launched Dirty Business in September 2002. With 2000 clients throughout the valley on all five campuses, the company handles 20,000 pounds of laundry each week.
