Climatologists-in-training work with Rob DeConto (far right), geosciences, to explore global climate dynamics with an interdisciplinary “Earth system” approach. They now have the aid of the spherical monitor, a digital video globe that allows an exploration of climate patterning with a holistic view. The spherical monitor will be used to examine the physical and chemical coupling processes between individual climate system components.
